| Senior Piano | Gwen Beamish |
| Gwen has achieved national recognition as a performer, teacher and adjudicator. Holding a Master's Degree in Performance from the University of Michigan, her early teachers were Boris Berlin, Boris Roubakine and Alexander Uninsky. For many years Gwen was a faculty member at the Banff Centre where she helped form and teach the Gifted Youth program. Since 1988 she has been on the faculty of the Adamant Music School in Vermont. Gwen is currently a member of the piano faculty at the University of Western Ontario and maintains a private studio in Sarnia. As an adjudicator she has served from coast to coast in Canada, including provincial finals in almost every province. In 2002 Gwen was the piano judge for the National Finals of the Canadian Music Festivals. |
| Intermediate Piano | Susan Robinson |
| Susan grew up in Meaford, receiving her early music instruction there, and so became well acquainted with the Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music. She completed her ARCT with Owen Sound's Shirley Hawkins and continued her piano studies at the University of Toronto. After completing further degrees at Trinity College and the Royal Conservatory she taught for seven years as part of the RCM piano faculty. She continued teaching in Guelph and Kitchener and has travelled across Canada as an RCM examiner. Susan has experienced music festivals as performer, teacher, adjudicator and parent. She admits that being a parent is the most difficult. |

Jennifer Tung |
| Jennifer has gained recognition in Ontario as a pianist, vocal coach, soprano, and teacher. At the Eastman School of Music she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Voice Performance and a Master's in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music. A native of Hong Kong, Jennifer won many first places there in regional and national competitions. At age 16 she made her vocal debut with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for the opening of the Cultural Arts Centre. She has also performed at Roy Thompson Hall, Muskoka Lakes Music Festival and the Ford Centre for the Performing Arts. In recent years, Jennifer has been on the faculty as staff accompanist at leading summer festivals such as Algonquin International Music Institute, International School for Musical Arts and the Brevard Summer Music Festival in North Carolina. Jennifer will be here on March 28th, performing as part of the "Music in the Afternoon" series at Knox United Church. |
| Trained Vocal | Lesley Andrew |
| Lesley has made soloist appearances with most of the major Canadian symphony orchestras including our own Georgian Bay Symphony. Known for her extraordinary vocal range and versatility in many genres, Ms. Andrew often 'switches hats', performing as soprano soloist for one concert and as alto soloist for the next - from opera to show tunes, oratorio to jazz. Enjoying a long tenure with the Stratford Festival, Lesley also had many major concert and recital tours, including Europe, the 1999 World Tour aboard the QE II, two USA tours, a Canadian tour with the Lesley Andrew Trio and in 2005, her first concert tour in Argentina. Ms. Andrew now adjudicates and conducts masterclasses at festivals around the world. She runs a thriving voice and drama studio, "Dream in Progress Productions". In addition she is an accomplished textile artist, her works featured in magazines, homes and businesses across North America. She has made guest appearances on "The Tonight Show, Oprah Winfrey, and Regis and Kathy Lee”, to name but a few. Having recently completed a Masters of Music, Performance and Literature, from UWO she hopes to begin her Ph.D. later this year. |
| Strings | Margot Jewell |
| Margot received her Bachelor of Music from McMaster and her ARCT from the Royal Conservatory. She also studied in Japan with Shinichi Suzuki and had lessons on Baroque Violin. She has performed with the Hamilton Philharmonic, Symphony Niagara, Te Deum Orchestra and Arcadia Ensemble. Margot has enjoyed working with families, first at the Hamilton Suzuki School. In 1982 she founded the Etobicoke Suzuki Music School. She has adjudicated at local and provincial festivals and is an examiner for the Royal Conservatory. She is also a member of the Board of the Suzuki Association of Ontario. Much in demand for workshops, Margot has also enjoyed being a faculty member of Huckleberry Music Camp and the National Music Camp. |
| Guitar | Alvin Tung |
| After completing his Bachelor and Master Degrees at U of T, Alvin went on to become, at age 26, the youngest Doctoral guitar recipient from the Eastman School of Music, where he subsequently was appointed a teaching assistant. A consistent first-prize winner across North America, Alvin won the silver medal at the Tokyo International Guitar Competition, the first Canadian to win this prestigious prize. He has been soloist with the Rochester Symphony, the Mississauga Symphony (Grand Opening, Living Arts Centre) as well as orchestras of Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Greece. Dr. Tung is actively involved in the promotion of music and talent, having been appointed Artistic Director of both the Muskoka Lakes Music Festival and the Merriam School of Music Concert Series. He will be performing with the Georgian Bay Symphony on May 1st. |
| Bands / Brass | Keith Hartshorn-Walton |
| Keith, a tuba player, holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Toronto and is currently completing his Doctorate at McGill. From 2005 - 2008 he toured with Calgary's Foothills Brass Quintet. This included Education Programs, Classroom visits, master classes and 5 touring concerts. Keith has performed with many fine orchestras including the Edmonton Symphony, the Calgary Philharmonic, McGill Jazz, Acid Brass and the Ratchet Orchestra. He has adjudicated for the Kiwanis Festivals of Toronto, Barrie and Oshawa-Whitby. Last year he was an adjudicator for the Ontario Provincial Competitions. His latest project, along with his wife Mélanie, is arranging and recording French and French Canadian songs. In 2007 they released their first CD: Mélanie E. Le jazz à la française, Vol I. |
| Woodwinds | Paul Woodford |
| Paul is Professor and former Chair of the Department of Music Education at the Don Wright Faculty of Music, the University of Western Ontario. He is the author of many publications including 4 books on the history of music in Newfoundland and Labrador. A fifth book, "Democracy in Music Education" has was released in 2005. Dr. Woodford taught for many years in the Newfoundland school system and co-founded the St John's Roman Catholic School Board District Band and the University of New Brunswick Summer Music Camp. He also co-founded and directed the popular UWO New Horizons Adult Band Program in 1997. He is a frequent adjudicator and band clinician in music festivals across Canada. |
| Music Theatre | Kathryn Domoney |
| Kathryn Domoney began her musical studies in Victoria, BC, where she sang in her first solo festival class at the age of nine. A graduate of the University of Toronto, and former member of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble, Kathryn has become one of Canada's leading vocal artists. Miss Domoney has appeared with many of Canada's leading orchestras, opera companies and choral groups. In addition to her busy performing career, Miss Domoney presents masterclasses to young singers, and adjudicates Vocal Classes at music festivals throughout Canada, including the Provincial Finals for Music Theatre in Edmonton. |
